So that’s where we are. Beautiful country, at least what I’ve seen of it. I have duty today, but tomorrow the plan is to head over to the Titanic cemetery, Fairview Lawn and to the Maritime Museum to see some of the wreckage. The food here is great, and the city itself reminds me a lot of San Diego with it’s patio bistros and quirky shops. Yesterday we went to the Citadel and walked around there for a while. It was pretty cool seeing the ship from one of the battlements.
Today has been the duty day from hell. We have already muster no less than four times and it’s only 1pm. I’m tired and I have the rev watch. I just hope that I have enough energy to make that trip to the cemetery without falling flat on my face.

I would love to visit there. The quirky shops and patio bistros are my favorite.

Stopping by to share with you that my son, Nate, graduates from Navy boot camp this Friday (Aug. 21st) We're flying out to Chicago tomorrow for his PIR. I'm so excited to see him! We'll get to spend some time together over the weekend. He stays in GL for electronics training for 8 weeks, then heads to San Diego for sonar for another 12 weeks.
